The Hellenic Digital Health Cluster (HDHC) has reached an important milestone in its growth journey, becoming the only Greek cluster to be awarded the Cluster Management Excellence Label SILVER by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA).
This recognition is part of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI), which evaluates and benchmarks clusters across Europe based on their structure, governance, strategy, and operational performance. Receiving the Silver Label demonstrates that HDHC operates at a high level of organizational maturity and effectiveness, following international best practices in cluster management.
With 41 members from the academic, research, and business sectors, HDHC is steadily building a vibrant community dedicated to driving innovation in digital health. This recognition reflects the cluster’s continuous efforts to strengthen collaboration, improve services for its members, and contribute to the national and European health innovation ecosystem.
HDHC was established as an initiative of the Institute of Computer Science (ICS-FORTH) and PRAXI Network, with the support of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI). Since its creation, the cluster has served as a platform connecting key actors in digital health — from startups and research organizations to large enterprises and public institutions — to co-develop innovative solutions and promote technology transfer.
This Silver Label recognition motivates HDHC to continue its journey toward excellence, collaboration, and impact. The cluster’s next steps include expanding its member base, fostering new partnerships across Europe, and supporting the development of innovative digital health solutions that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
Thank you to all our members whose continuous contribution made this achievement possible. Together, we are shaping the future of digital health in Greece and beyond.
