A new strategic collaboration for HDHC is starting SEIV - Association of Medical and Biotechnological Product Enterprises!
HDHC’s Director, Dimitrios Katehakis, and SEIV’s General Director, Athanasios Akalestos, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a stable framework for collaboration aimed at strengthening the ecosystem of medical technology and digital health solutions in Greece.
SEIV, as the association representing companies that import and distribute medical devices in Greece, aims to represent its members, participate in the formulation of health policy (e.g. procurement), provide legal advice, and promote innovation and technology in the health sector.
The collaboration between the two parties includes, among others, joint strategic interventions and policy proposals, the establishment of thematic working groups, the exchange of expertise on regulatory and technological issues, and the coordination of ecosystem-building actions at national and European level.
The first joint action was the submission of a formal letter to the political leadership of the Ministry of Health and to the Secretary General for Strategic Planning, Mr. A. Angelis, requesting the issuance of a Joint Ministerial Decision for the reimbursement of remote monitoring services related to medical devices (implantable, non-implantable, and Software as a Medical Device – SaMD), along with a proposal for the establishment of a Working Group. More information about this initiative will follow soon.
Stay tuned about the collaborative initiatives that are coming!
