
HDHC is pleased to announce a new international collaboration with the Italian initiative ANTHEM Foundation (Fondazione ANTHEM). The partnership was formally launched at the beginning of 2026 with the signing of a collaboration agreement.
Fondazione ANTHEM – AdvaNced Technologies for Human-centrEd Medicine – is an initiative funded by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research. Its mission is to address unmet healthcare needs of fragile and chronic patients in specific territories, particularly in areas affected by diseases that are currently orphan of effective therapies. The initiative adopts innovative, multidisciplinary technologies and care pathways to bridge gaps in healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes.
ANTHEM’s activities are structured around four core thematic spokes:

Smart Monitoring, focusing on the development of new sensors and advanced monitoring technologies;

Prevention and Diagnosis, through the development of innovative technologies and AI-based methodologies;

Personalised Medical Treatments, targeting advanced therapeutic approaches for orphan cancers and chronic conditions;

Technological Enhancement and Transferability, with an emphasis on methodologies for heterogeneous health data management, data protection, interoperability, and integration with existing or emerging digital health platforms.
This collaboration between HDHC and ANTHEM Foundation opens new scientific and research opportunities for HDHC and its members, fostering knowledge exchange, joint initiatives, and cross-border synergies in research and innovation.
